PERL Mortgage -Named Top 200 in Country
PERL Mortgage was awarded top honors in Mortgage Originator Magazine! The publication named four PERL loan officers – Steve Laner, Ken Perlmutter, Barry Schwartz, and Dean Vlamis as "2007 Top 200 Originators." This distinction is awarded to loan officers with the highest production and loan volume in the United States.
Illinois' Homeowner's Assistance Initiative
PERL Mortgage has joined Governor Blagojevich's Homeowner's Assistance Initiative, the nation's most comprehensive statewide plan designed to provide immediate assistance to Illinois homebuyers at risk of losing their homes. Four of Illinois' largest mortgage lenders have made an initial commitment of $200 million to finance new, fixed rate mortgages for homeowners facing increases in their current adjustable rate loans or who can't afford their existing fixed-rate loan.
PERL Mortgage, along with three other Chicago-based lenders, will also be participating in Homeowner Outreach Days, jointly sponsored by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), to work directly with families facing imminent foreclosure due to unaffordable mortgage payments.

Ken Perlmutter wins presigious Harold Isaccson Award
On February 12, 2008, the Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals (IAMP) held its 12th Annual Industry Awards Night. Ken Perlmutter, president and founder of PERL Mortgage, received the Harold Isaccson Award.
"The award is selected by the IAMP Board, and is awarded to an individual exemplifying the professional quialities and involvement in the association as a leader...and not just a talker," remarked Marv Stockert, IAMP executive director.
Harold Isaccson was a founding member of the IAMP (1987).
